In Memory Of Marvin Phillips from legendary ( Marvin & Johnny )
Marvin born in 1931 along with Johnny made the early 1950s doo-wop single Cherry-Pie. Marvin passed on
recently and his funeral is still in the workings. On Saturday January 9th a tribute to Marvin took place

This Tribute took place in the Crenshaw District. Above photos Memorabilia was sold
Many legendary singers were there and fortunately Tommy Garcia Known as the Godfather gave us an
open invitation. Some of his buddy's include Mr Duran, Dusty Rooster, and Brenton wood etc.

Many intertainers were present even if only one individual group member attended such as from Esquires,

This mural is located in my familys home town and my birth place. Located in
Wilmington Calif right at the intersection of Hyat and L St on the East Side not far
from Banning Park. In 1969 at age 6 we moved to Norwalk Calif were I grew up.
Family, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and so on still remain in Wilmington, Ca.
